Access Control Systems

Access control is a type of electronic security system that enables organisations to control who can access a building, open a door, or enter a specific area. There are many types of access system, from door entry systems that use electronic locks and intercoms, to gates, barriers, turnstiles, and more advanced biometric technology. All this can be managed from a centralised administration point offering full control and flexibility. North West Security Services offer a full range of access control products from single doors to turnstiles to multi-site fully integrated solutions.

To gain entry, a person must have the correct access control credentials. For example, there may be areas of your building which are for employees only. By providing employees with a means to open the door, such as a key code, access card, proximity fob or even a biometric solution, your people, assets, and property remain protected from anyone that doesn’t have authorisation. Our broad access control portfolio enables us to offer a comprehensive solution design, installation and maintenance service tailored to your exact requirements.
As with most of our electronic systems, we have the expertise to integrate Access Control in conjunction with other security systems such as video and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) analytics. Thus meaning, you can receive the benefits of more secure dual-factor authentication and vehicle access control.
We can also tailor your system to produce a Roll Call reports. Roll call reports can be created automatically in the event of a fire alarm, or manually by a system administrator. allows the system administrator to produce a list of all users currently within a specified area. This is particularly useful in an emergency where a building or area must be evacuated. The list can be printed out or displayed on a computer or screen which can be accessed outside of the building or assembly point.

Along with the roll call reports, we can also install muster point solutions. Muster points are safe locations where staff can produce their token to a specific control reader with a programmed ‘muster status’. Once a user has successfully mustered, the system then acknowledges that their status has changed from missing to safe and then updates the roll call accordingly. This allows a real-time register of users within the premises and automatically logs the status of each user, allowing a successful effective method to ensure all employees are accounted for. This system uses the same method of authorisation that users would normally use to gain entry and can be different formats. From basic token fobs, key codes, swipe cards to biometric or advanced inputs, we can offer unrivalled service that is designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards. Our access control services are NSI Gold approved.
